How To Get More Fruits and Vegetables In Your Life

Posted by Barbara MacFarlane on

When you are in love with fruits and vegetables like I am, it's innate to eat them in every form I can. But, for others who find it a chore, but have a blender your answer has arrived. Everything you don't want to bother with eating, just put in your blender and drink. Here are some recommendations for a base to use to then add your ingredients to:

  • Oat Milk The large amount of  Vitamin A and D and a good alternative if you have an intolerance to  almond, soy, and coconut milk.
  • Cashew Milk - Cashew milk is lactose-free and loaded with heart-healthy unsaturated fats, protein, and several vitamins and minerals.
  • Fruit Juices
  • Almond Milk - Almond milk is high in vitamin E, a disease-fighting antioxidant. During processing, it’s commonly fortified with calcium and vitamin D
  • Vege Broth
  • Avocado - Avocados and avocado oil are high in monounsaturated oleic acid, a heart-healthy fatty acid that is believed to be one of the main reasons for the health benefits of olive oil

Avocado is my favorite fruit, or food, for that matter. When added to my smoothies, it creates a creamy, smooth consistency and blends with everything you use. It is a powerhouse of nutrients and healthy fat that you need in your daily smoothie. Knowing how incredibly good they are for me, makes them even more delicious. The value of fruits and vegetables in your daily routine, can't be overstated enough.   Dried plums can help prevent osteoporosis. Avocados are fantastic for strong bones. Fruit is high in water so keeps you hydrated. Fruit is high in antioxidants which help to fight free radicals unstable atoms that make us age faster and damage our cells. Fruit is nutrient-dense and contains fiber necessary for a healthy gut.

Combining all your fruits and vegetables in a smoothie is a simple solution for getting enough each day, and yes, that's each day. When you find yourself unable to fathom a day without them, you've reached the state of health in the making.
